School Closure and Delay Notifications

In case of inclement weather conditions, the Astoria School District will either start school with a 2 or 3 hour delay or completely cancel school. Buses will be delayed for 2 or 3 hours. For example, if your child usually gets picked up at 7:35 am the bus should be at your stop at 9:35 am or 10:35 am. 

Buses may run late due to icy conditions, so please be patient!

If the weather does not improve within the 2 or 3 hour delay, the remainder of the school day may be canceled. The decision to have a 2 or 3 hour delay or cancel school will be communicated through Astoria School District’s ParentSquare message system. Each family with an active phone number will receive a call, a text message and an email. Please let the school office know if there have been any changes to your contact information.

If school is canceled, all after school activities are also canceled. The decision to delay or cancel school will apply to every school in the Astoria School District.
